University Village is a condominium community for independent living, primarily
for Residents who are 55 years of age or older. The majority of the condominiums
are owner-occupied, although rental of a unit is allowed, and the owners participate in its governance. Yearly they
elect members of the Board of Directors, which establishes policy and oversees
staff management and operation of the facility.
Construction of University Village began in 1990, with Phase I, which included
46 condominium units and various central facilities. Phase II was built in 1994,
and contains 48 additional condominiums and the Village Club.
The Village Club has two levels- the upper floor includes the Main Dining Room,
Terrace Dining Room, Private Dining Room, kitchen facilities, and an outdoor
patio. On the lower level are the swimming pool, whirlpool, fitness center,
showers, and another patio.
Large atriums, surrounded in glass with magnificent views of the city and
countryside, are located on each floor at each end of Phase I and II. These can
be used for private parties, organized bridge groups, or for savoring a view
that is different. |
